A: The ages of the children are between 5 and 17 years  old

A: Spanish and Quechua

A: No. Presently there is no working agreement between the United States and Bolivia that would make adoption possible

Child Sponsorship:

Q: Can I visit my sponsored child?
A: Yes, child sponsorship with CIN offers a unique opportunity to visit your child through one of our missions trips. We currently offer trips to the Bolivia Life Center and will soon be sending teams to Colombia as well. For more information about going on a mission trip, click here.

Q: Can I write to my sponsored child or send gifts?
A: You can send letters twice a year. And, you can send a monetary birthday donation so our staff can take your sponsored child on a special trip into town to purchase something for themselves, as well as a donation for their Christmas gifts.

Letters are limited to two a year to ensure that all children receive the same number of letters. In addition, all communications will be translated by a CIN staff.  Sponsors will receive two letters each year from their sponsored child. There will be information about when and how to respond to your child with these letters.

Q: Does sponsorship cover all the needs of each sponsored boy?
A: No. In Bolivia, sponsorship provides the boys with all their basic daily needs (food, clothing and a loving home). However, the boys' educational needs are provided for through our Bolivia Life Center Partner program and other support. Some sponsors chose to add on a Bolivia Life Center Partnership to help with their child's educational needs.

In Colombia, sponsorship assists with tuition, food, supplies, mentors and uniforms.

A key element of the sponsorship is lifting your child up in prayer - all the while building a life-changing personal relationship with your child.

Taking a Missions Trip to Bolivia:

Q: What is the climate in Cochabamba, Bolivia?
A: Cochabamba is a dessert like high altitude climate (8,500 ft.) that is dry for most of the year with temperatures ranging in the 70's to 80's during the day and 50's to 60's at night.  In the winter (June through August) temperatures can go down to the 30's and 40's at night.

Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Click Here to Download our Informational Packet, which includes a suggested packing list.

Q: What documents do I need to enter Bolivia?
A: A current passport with a minimum of six months remaining on the expiration date and a visa. A photo ID and /or drivers license is necessary as well.

Q: What does the price of the trip include?
A: Your trip price will cover all of your expenses from Miami to Bolivia and back.

Q: Is there hot water?
A: Yes

Q: What kind of work will we do?
A: There are various ministry opportunities such as serving the children at the Bolivia Life Center orphanage, construction, medical clinics, and evangelism.  Most teams tend to focus on two areas: Side Walk Sunday School, and Construction.

Q: Do I need to get certain shots before my trip?
A: You will need to get a Yellow Fever shot in order to obtain your Visa. There are no other required vaccinations to travel into Bolivia, although we strongly recommend Tetanus and Hepatitis. You can also view the Centers for Disease Control's website for recommended Vaccines.

A: To reserve a trip, $100 is due with the application. Ninety days prior to the trip 50% of the balance is due. The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to departure. CIN can not guarantee the availability of your seat if you do not meet these deadlines.
